The larger 1/2" diamater Poly-Dowel™ is an interior support for use in heavier tiered cakes. For even more support 1/4" Poly-Dowels™ can be inserted into the center. They cut with scissors so you will not need to saw them and there will be no splinters like with wooden dowels. These Poly-Dowels™ have been engineered with an interior support system for excellent weight support. They are made from Food Grade Plastic so they can be used in your cakes with no worries. Disposable, single use only - for sanitary reasons.
