The CAKEBOARD PREPARATION
Covered 16” Cakeboard with fondant. Using star cutters,
cut-out white stars and replaced with primary colors.
THIRD TIER
Eight inch, four layer cake. Applied star impression mat to fondant. Attached star cut-outs to match cakeboard.
The words, Shoot for the stars was later placed on it.
CAKE TOPPER
Covered Styrofoam ball with fondant for Sun.
Sunbursts were made out of gumpaste, attached with yellow royal icing and colored with Petal dust.
Fondant tassel was made using clay extruder.
Cardboard was used to make the top of Graduation cap.
BRIGHT FUTURE
Selected photos of my son and nephew
were made into edible images. 2010 was
molded out of chocolate and covered with fondant.
LETICIA’S BIO
Leticia’s always had a creative touch. At twelve, she remembers winning a school Art show. At a young age her father thought it was a good idea for her and her two sisters to help their mother in the kitchen. Thus her passion for baking and cooking began.
With a background in Computer Graphics she co-founded Bold Image Graphics. After having her children she wanted more time with them. So she began, “It is Finished” a Faux and Mural paint decorating business.
In 2005, she moved to Inland Valley, bored without her family and friends she entered a Gingerbread contest. Making her first ever Gingerbread creation. She won first place! She traded her paint brushes for decorating bags and she’s been pursuing Sugar Art ever since.
She teaches baking and cake decorating in the Inland Valley.
